Today my son won his way through to his third soccer Grandfinal in a row. Thats a terrific effort for all the hard work he and the players and coaches of his team put in over the whole year. They are a great bunch of mates, which goes a long way to the rewards they deserve.

Enjoy the next 2 weeks before the MDSFA Grandfinal and the big day, work hard at training - and then hopefully you get to repeat your premiership win from last year! WELL DONE

Maybe things will feel better tomorrow....

Monday afternoon saw us at the lawyers office. Big meeting today with my barrister and solicitor and THEIR barrister. We really had no idea of what was to happen next. Time to go over to the NSW Workers Compensation office.

It really felt like an auction, my legal team running back and forth to tell us what the other side had offered. We really had no idea what to do so was at their mercy. All we knew was we didnt want to deal with the insurer anymore - they hadnt tried to fix me so far so why would they start now - and we did not want to deal with the stress of going to court. We had a very strong case, blah blah blah, but we couldnt put everything we owned at risk against a mob that were never keen in helping us from the start.

At the end of the day, confidentiality agreement signed, the other party did not have to admit negligence (what a cop out), everything ends right there and then, and they have up to 6 weeks to pay.

We should have felt good, like justice had been done, but all I know is we felt like they had ripped us off. Everything seemed stacked in their favour. Oh well, "you will wake up tomorrow feeling like a huge weight has been lifted off your shoulders" my barrister said.

I woke up alright, but didnt feel like that. Still felt hollow and like something was wrong. Too late now. We had to take what we got and make it last our lifetime. What to do now? I dont know. I just know there is no more insurer to worry about with all their stupid antics and games.

To anyone who thinks workers compensation is there to fix you up when things go wrong - well you couldnt be further from the truth. I have been left with an injury, dealt with by surgery that did not go to plan and a "more surgery one day" cloud hanging over me, and still in pain. Maybe things will feel better tomorrow....

Senior Umpire Award for 2010

Eldest daughter over the weekend had to attend an awards evening for the local netball association. A boring event I thought, oh well have a good night I said.

Well what a great bit of news when she comes through the door all excited at being named the Senior Umpire of the Year. Not bad hey? The best umpire for the area is my daughter. Well done!

What makes this even better is the fact she won the same award as a junior a couple years back. That's right - she won Senior Umpire of the Year as a junior back then. They can obviously recognised talent when they see it. Now thats a pretty good effort to back it up as a legitimate senior. Top Effort - WELL DONE!

Both kids lost their finals matches - netball now out of the finals. The soccer [saints] loss means they have to win next week to meet grand final. From minor premiers to this - they better play better to get thru

Massaging The Sore Bits - Boy That Hurts....

Its been a while since I had my back massaged, so I decided its time to find someone new to massage all my painful areas - my back, legs and feet. I know it can't fix me, but boy I hope some massage therapy can make me feel better - a better quality of life etc as they say

We had babies!!!! Guppies that is....

Recently I bought a few guppies for one of my fish tanks and one was pregnant. Luckily she survived long enough to give birth despite a problem due to our local water supply which killed off all but 2 of my purchases.

Late one night earlier this week she gave birth to 18 babies. So far they all seem to be healthy and growing well from their birth size of half a centremetre

Is Australia broke yet?

Hey Kevin - is Australia broke yet? Your next apology will be saying sorry to all Australia for your wrong doings.

If the country isnt broke now, we are well on the way. A lot of the credit for that has got to go to a certain PM that I refer to as 'krudd'. It seems all his "considered policies" are done on the run by bogans that really have no idea. He is responsible for policies that put insulation in roofs that burnt down peoples homes and also killing 4 installers; putting solar on roofs and then ripping off pensioners after they are in; claiming the world was doomed from global warming due to our bad habits, polution etc. Kev tried to save the world with that one; Japanese whaling - what happened Kev? another one that's too tough?; this failed building recovery program in our schools - what a rip off. Schools have wanted more money for decades, but they wanted it spent on what they needed, not overpriced buildings and structures that simply profit the builders and installers; computers in schools for every child - where are they and where is the infrastructure to support them? Where are those 240 child care centres you promised to build? And don't forget all these illegal boat people. Well done kev on that failure! Maybe he is trying to bring in so many illegals and stack the voting with them on his side for the next election - hmmm. I am sure they would vote for him simply so they can keep bringing in more of their families and friends.

Everything he touches is doomed to failure. The sooner he goes the quicker we can see what he has really cost us. Actually what he has cost our children, their children etc etc. They will be paying for this for many many years to come. I just hope they remove his photo from the wall in parliament that shows past prime ministers. He needs to be on the "dunces' wall! I remember travelling around this country and seeing all these statues, busts actually, of past Prime Ministers. Can you imagine his going up there. It will cop so much vandalism from those he has effected.

The worst part is he thinks he is doing a good job. Well I think he would be better off starring in a 'milky bar kid' movie - but it would have to be a silent movie wouldn't it. I heard a song on local radio 2GB yesterday 'Ruddy" dedicated to him and if it wasn't so true we would sit back and laugh. Bring on an election later this year. Bring it on sooner please - kevin 07 needs to go. I would even support a new government bringing Peter Costello back as treasurer. At least we may get back in the black, hopefully sooner rather than later.

Now he has hit people with a 25% tax hike on cigarettes overnight to generate 5 billion dollars in tax over 3 years. I dont smoke but you have to remember that a lot of poor people and pensioners are addicted to smoking. I just heard that if a cigarette costs $1, 67 cents goes to the government and the balance to the manufacturer and retailer. That's a lot of cash directly into health but we have heard that all before. Our hospital systems are stuffed and he reckons he has another 'considered' plan to fix it. That should be enough of a warning for us all to worry.

I cannot remember hearing talkback radio so anti government before. I am used to hearing some supporting them and some the opposition. I think krudd has a lot to answer for. Pity he wont accept responsibility for all the problems he has created. He will just sit there looking the opposite way with his stupid smug look on his face. Come on Kev, do us all a favour and get out now. If you cant, just stop trying to think of ways to help the country - you can't help!

Oh BTW, krudd may say he is a Queenslander, but he cant be. They're all passionate, fair dinkum Australians.
